At Manahawkin Vision, we have been providing exceptional eye care to our Stafford Township patients for over 30 years. Our optometry care center provide eye and vision exams, prevention services, diagnostics with state-in-the-art technology and treatment for many types of eye diseases & conditions.  We also offer ocular lenses, Lasik evaluations, and pediatric care.

We highly recommend that you have an eye and vision exam yearly with our optometrists. Some ocular diseases or conditions may show up without warning. We can help manage and provide eye treatments to help with your eye condition or illness. Some eye conditions that we treat are the following:

Glaucoma is an eye disease where you can experience vision loss or blindness. While there is no cure for glaucoma, there are treatments to slow down the progression of vision loss.

This usually occurs to people over the age of 60. This disease affects the retina, which is located at the back of your eye, and damages the area, causing serious vision loss. There are two forms, wet and dry form. There is no cure for muscular degeneration, however, we have treatments to help decelerate the disease.

Cataracts are an eye condition where the lens at the back of the iris becomes cloudy. People who has cataracts experience blurry vision, trouble seeing at night, and may start to notice halos around lights. Our Middletown optometrists may recommend that you get proper eyewear to help increase your vision.

If you have diabetes, then you are at risk of getting diabetic retinopathy. The blood vessels in the retina becomes damaged due to the blockage caused by excessive blood sugar in the eyes. New blood vessel tries to grow, but does not properly develop well. Yearly eye exams can help detect the disease sooner.

Usually dry eyes and allergies occur when your eye does not have enough tears to keep the eye moist. Some examples of dry eyes and allergies are dryness, irritation, redness, burning sensations, and itchy eyes. Our eye doctors are able to provide several treatment options to help relieve the dry eyes and allergies.

Pink eye is an eye infection that cause inflammation on the conjunctiva. This can be triggered by viral or bacterial infection or allergies and is highly contagious. Common symptoms are itchiness and redness of the eyes. Talk to our optometrists about our available treatments to reduce eye discomfort and inflammation.

This eye condition happens usually to children. This is when the weak eye is either inward or outward and disrupts the child’s vision. Corrective eyewear, eye drops, or bangerter filters can improve vision to the child.

Low vision refers to a visual impairment that is not correctable through surgery, pharmaceuticals, glasses, or contact lenses. This condition is often characterized by partial sight, such as blurred vision, blind spots or tunnel vision, but also includes legal blindness. Low vision can impact people of all ages, but it is associated primarily with adults over the age of 60.
